⦁ Starting with nothing more than the principle “radial acceleration points radially inwards”, students will be able to determine the exact location of the accelerometer sensor inside their smartphone circuitry; and, optionally, confirm by finding a diagram of it online.
⦁ Geometrical reasoning:
- vector components, directions, quadrants, vector translations
- local vs global coordinate systems, smartphone coordinate systems
⦁ 3D-printed equipment: 3D files available to download here!
